My name is Karen Murphy, and I live in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland. I have been showing pugs for 11 years, but have been involved in dog showing all my life.
I was brought up in one of the top Gundog kennels in Ireland - my late parents Ellen and David Murphy (affix Lisnagarvey) showed English Springer Spaniels and English Pointers successfully in the UK and Ireland. They made up numerous Irish Show Champions under the old points system, and four GB Champions (1 Pointer and 3 Springers). They also did extremely well at Group and Best in Show level in Ireland.
Sadly both my parents are no longer with me, but it appears that I have inherited my late fathers "eye for a dog". To date I have made up 6 Irish Junior Champions, 6 Irish Champions, an Irish Annual Champion, an International Champion, and a GB Champion. I have 6 dogs with KC stud book numbers, and 6 Celtic Winners titles.
My greatest achievement by far is gaining Peanut's GB Champion title, and winning Best in Show at The Northern Pug Championship Show two years in a row (2015 & 2016), and BIS at the West Pennine Pug Dog Club Championship Show in 2017 with him.
I hope you enjoy looking round my "homemade" website. I try to update it as often as I can.
